Schedule

Kinderhaus: The Pre-School is open on Tuesdays and Thurdsdays from 8am to 12pm.
From the age of 4 children may also attend the primary school in the afternoons.
Primary school: The primary school (from age 5) is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8am to 5pm; on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8am to 12pm. The number of afternoons children attend is dependent upon the needs of the children and the decision of their parents.
Secundary school: The secondary school is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 5pm; and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8am to 12pm. Special arrangements can be made for children who participate in extra curricular activities such as music or sport.

Lunch
A simple lunch can be provided and is billed separately (Fr. 7.- per meal). Children can also bring their own lunches, which can be warmed up at the school.

German, French and English
Children at Sesam speak many languages. Many are bi-lingual, some tri-lingual. It is not unusual to hear native speakers of German, French and English conversing with each other at any time of day.

Registration
Registration is binding for one school year. A child may enter the school at any time during the school year.

Transfer to other schools
If parents need to transfer their child to a school which doesn't operate according to the same educational principles as Sesam, teachers should be notified at least 6 months in advance. This will allow sufficient time to prepare the child for the new situation. Individualized programs can be developed to meet the specific requirements of any such transfer.
